CI will organize five different Chinese cultural activities in which all visitors will have opportunity to learn some artistic skills. Chinese teachers will select Chinese characters with good meaning equivalent to your name and write out the transliterated Chinese name. The written-with-brush Chinese name not only presents the beauty of calligraphy, but also conveys good wishes. Visitors may also learn how to write Chinese name under the guidance of the teacher. The CI tea master will show the traditional Chinese tea ceremony with the covered bowls, and visitors will have chance to learn how to brew the tea and to taste some Chinese teas. Chinese paper cutting is a traditional folk art mainly used for decoration. Red, as the main color for Chinese paper cutting, Chinese traditional art, represents good luck. Show your skills and cut some red paper and decorate your home. Younger visitor will have opportunity to show their skills in games with chopsticks, by picking up 18 Chinese Go pieces from the bowl and placing them into the shape of character “中 zhōng ”. Kicking shuttlecock, very popular game among Chinese teenagers, will be played for all those who wants to improve their coordination.
